But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. - Isaiah 40:31 (Amplified)

*sigh*
The tea has been drunk and the snacks have been eaten and the French has been learnt and the lists have been made and the letters have been written and the naps have been taken and the phone calls have been made and the emails have been sent and the classes have been attended and the Bible has been read and the youtube videos have been watched and everything has been finished. And now, it is bedtime.

The passive voice has been used, and a satisfied blogpost has been written. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm über excited to see you tomorrow! (Well, today, as it is technically Friday. But that's mostly beside the point.)
Not going to lie, as I was writing this I was thinking about how I didn't know the passive voice in french, and how annoying that was because I couldn't say or phrase things the way I want to sometimes.
ReplyDelete:) Haha, my French professor was always like, "The French don't use the passive voice. DON'T EVEN TRY TO USE IT; YOU WILL FAIL." I think she was talking about rearranging verbs within other tenses to create a passive voice, though, since a passive tense does exist. Haha, but nobody really wanted to study an extra tense on top of the twelve or so she threw at us that semester.
